1984 GIBSON LES PAUL STUDIO!

For your consideration is this vintage 1984 Gibson Les Paul
studio electric guitar.  This first-variety Les Paul  Studio (serial #81424567) is pretty rare, and is certainly an imminent collector's item.  This early Gibson Les Paul Studio is much different from those made after 1984, as it features: "Pat. Appl. For" stickers on the rings around the Tim Shaw pickups, a cherry sunburst carved Alder top, a bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, a maple neck, a maple body, and otherwise traditional appointments with chrome hardware.  Les Pauls from this era have become famous for their amazing Shaw pickups and vintage-inspired design approach, and with these limited quantity Les Paul Studios becoming increasingly rare and hard to locate, be sure to take advantage of this No Reserve auction with cheap Worldwide shipping as the highest bidder wins regardless of price!    

This particular example is in perfect working condition,
sounds beautiful, and is in fair cosmetic condition showing many signs of wear
and use.  It weighs 8 pounds and 3 ounces.  To begin with the working
condition – everything about this guitar is just as it should be.  All of the electronics work beautifully
without any scratching, popping or noise, and the pickups sound huge!  The neck is dead straight, and the
action very comfortable.  There is
some expected fretwear, mostly from frets 1-5, but still have years of playing
left.  The 12th fret is slightly taller than the frets next to it, so it frets out when the smaller gauge strings are bent up a step on the 11th fret.  Cosmetically, this guitar
has definitely been played.  Particularly, the back of the guitar displays significant belt buckle pressure wear, but it has not revealed the wood underneath the finish.  The bottom edge of the body displays wear that has worn completely through cherry finish to reveal the maple below.  It has loads
of authentic vintage appeal, and is definitely an eye-catching Les Paul.  The top is showing some beautiful light
checking as well as a few superficial finish dings giving it a Jimmy Page “#1”
kind of look.  The
neck is showing wear, most notably on the treble side at the 5th
fret, but again, we feel this only adds to the vintage visual appeal of the
instrument.  The natural relic-ing
process has begun with this guitar, now it’s your turn to finish the job and
make it really beautiful!  Also
included in this auction is a non-original Gibson hardshell case, which is in excellent
condition both inside and out, showing no major signs of damage, and without
any odors.  All pictures are of the
