Gibson Les Paul Studio

Here you have a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio in their "worn brown" or "faded" finish (they keep changing what they call this). As you can see, I removed all the black plastic components and replaced them with cream-colored pickup rings, pickguard, volume/tone knobs, pickup switch ring and tip, and jack plate (I forgot to photograph the jack plate). I thought the cream just looked better against the golden-brown color of the wood.

I will include all the black plastic parts with this the guitar. The jack plate is actually chrome-plated metal. You'll get that, too.

Excellent condition. I found one tiny ding on a corner that was too small to photograph, and if you hold it to the light, you may be able to see a few VERY faint scratches in a few places.  See for yourself — they won't even show up in the photographs.  No fret wear.  I have it set up with D'addario 9s, and it plays great, with low action and no fret buzz. Neck is straight and fret edges are smooth.  No cracks, dings, dents, stains, buckle rash, tarnish, or other damage or cosmetic issues.  This guitar is nice and clean and looks great, and everything works like it should

It's a beautiful color, which seems to change with the light. It also has a very fine "wavy" woodgrain on the top, and a very nice fine-grained woodgrain on the back.  Look at the photos and judge for yourself.  No obvious seams like you'll see on some of these.  And unlike some of the later-model "faded" finishes, this one feels nice and smooth.  It just feels good to hold it.

Special features include Gibson Burstbucker pickups in the bridge and neck positions (I think they put the cheaper 490s on later models), pearloid trapezoid fret markers that have a sort of "antique" color to them, "Green Key" Gibson Deluxe enclosed tuners, Gibson "Nashville"-style fully adjustable bridge, and heavily chrome-plated tailpiece.

Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case with thick dark-grey plush lining.  Case is in great condition.  No damage.  Latches and hinges are in perfect condition.  The combination lock has never been set.  No moldy or smokey smell inside.

I think this is one great guitar, but I've got so many that it's just been sitting inside its case, in a closet of my smoke-free home. I guess it's time to give it to someone who can put it to better use.
