2003 Gibson Les Paul SmartWood Studio with Hard Case!!
The Gibson Les Paul Smartwood Studio is made from wood certified by the Rainforest Alliance. While the back and the neck are made from mahogany, the carved top each of the models in the SmartWood line featured tops made from a different but equally stunning wood. I believe that the top wood on this guitar is Peroba. Fast, straight neck. Very slight fretwear. I don't know if it was part of Gibson's sustainable philiospy to use imperfect wood in these guitars but there is a blemish on the back of the neck (see photo). Also the little nick on the back, top edge of the headstock (see photo) is under the finish and appears to be another imperfection in the wood, not a ding. This guitar looks, plays and sounds great. A high quality hard case in excellent condition is included .
