Up
for bid is a 2010 Limited Edition Gibson
50s Tribute Les Paul Studio in the desirable Honeyburst Finish. The condition is as new. Actually better than
new due to the hard case. There are no mars on the guitar at all. I am the original
owner, I bought it new.
If
you have followed this guitar, you know how great it is with the cool and
elegant satin finish and the P-90 pickups. Also the Honeyburst sold out right
after the Goldtop, and is widely recognized as one of the two most desirable
finishes in the model. Note especially that the lovely red interior
Gibson Custom Case is an extra that I paid dearly for, but this guitar deserves
a fine case. It came with a gig bag. Yes, the gig bag is included! A case and a bag and a guitar all for
one reasonable sum.
This
guitar features the aforesaid P-90s, an Orange Drop cap, CTS pots,.
point-to-point wiring, Switchcraft switch and jack all from the factory - a
true Hi-Fi guitar. Tone for days. There are no issues - everything works and it
sounds and plays great. There is no wear.
Body and Finish
A solid, carved maple top and
chambered mahogany body give the Les Paul Studio 50s Tribute the same tonewood
combination that has been helping Les Pauls rock for nearly 50 years. The
authentic 50s-style finishes—Worn Honey Burst,—presents a guitar with the look
of a gently aged original, while the instrument’s unbound body and neck keep it
in line with the popular Les Paul Studio line.
Neck
and Headstock
The Les Paul Studio 50s
Tribute is crafted with a solid quarter-sawn mahogany neck, a rosewood
fingerboard, and a headstock set at the traditional 17-degree angle for
superior transference of vibrational energy—all ingredients of the classic Les
Paul Standard of the 1950s.
Pickups and
Electronics
To give it the vintage look
and meaty, raw sound of an original 50s Les Paul, the Les Paul Studio 50s
Tribute carries two Gibson USA P-90 pickups, which are wired through the
traditional four-knob Les Paul control array, with a three-way Switchcraft
toggle selector and quality “Orange Drop” tone capacitors on the tone pots.
Hardware
Designed to offer the rock
solid dependability that today’s musicians demand, while reflecting the look of
classic hardware from the mid 50s, the Les Paul Studio 50s Tribute’s Nashville
Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and Kluson-style tuners present a
best-of-both-worlds hardware package.
