This auction is for the body, pickup rings, truss cover, control plates, and strap buttons only. This body has alot of cosmetic wear and dings. It is ugly. Not all wear is pictured, but the worst of it has been documented. The back has a few dings that go through the finish to the wood. Probably got placed on the floor on a set of keys. Please don't bid if you want a decent looking guitar because this is not. I tried to get decent photographs, but my camera didn't render the color and tone as well as it should have. The fretboard is not as dark and the finish color didn't come out exactly as it is (red seems tough for digital cameras) Overall, this piece is shiny and the finish is intact, but it was not taken care of by the previous owner. However, because it is such a tough guitar, it has held up very well to the abuse.

This guitar worked perfectly for me when assembled. It played all the way up the neck and had great sustain. I could get the action very low with no buzzing. It has nice, balanced tone. Big bottom end, cutting midrange with bite. Nice solid weight, about 9.5-10 lb. Beefy neck, frets are in great shape with very minor grooves on first 5. No breaks or cracks. The truss rod works perfectly. The back is most likely one piece of gorgeous fat-grained mahogany. I can't find any seams. This guitar has ALOT of little dings and weird finish stains in the clear coat. The previous owner used gorilla glue to secure the treble side bridge stud into place. I don't know why. I am very picky about structural issues and this didn't concern me one bit when I bought it. It stays in tune very, very well. Some of the glue got onto the finish and it left behind some residue that can probably be buffed out, but maybe not? When the bridge is assembled, it's hardly noticeable. I am selling this project guitar because I don't want it anymore. I want something more expensive and with binding around the neck and body. Please ask any questions before bidding. I am a very honest seller, I pack items very well. I have shipped many guitars like this and without the case. Insurance is included in shipping price
