Gibson Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany, Dark Brown 2008 with Gibson case. (note: serial number partially blacked out in the photo to limit fraud. I am the legal owner of this guitar) In almost new condition but has minor hairline pick-scratch swirls in the pickguard (can't even see in the photos, but I want to include so there are no surprises) and a couple of very minor dents (less than the size of a pencil lead) in the cutaway and on the front edge by the top strap peg. You can see both of those minor dents in photo 1 of the main body front and that's it. I paid full price for this guitar and those minor dents were in it when I bought it. I pick my guitars for neck/ action /tone/weight as if you know Gibsons, the '50's style neck (which this one has) could either be the size of the business end of a baseball bat or slim. No two are alike and I'd describe this on the slimmer side of the 50's necks. It's very comfortable for my (medium large glove size) hand. Frets have little to no wear in near new condition. It's about 8 lbs, not overly light but not heavy at all and very good tone. It plays great, sounds great and I'm selling due to financial reasons. It rarely got used as I was planning to keep it as a collector. It's probably about as new as about anything that's been hanging in a guitar retailer store for a couple of weeks. No scratches and the minor dents as you can see don't mar the finish. The Gibson hard shell case as well is in new condition. This is all stock with Gibson's Bursbucker Pro pickups (same used in Les Paul Standard and some specialty models) . My nephew says that it plays like butter but I've never played butter before, so I can't relate to that but in a more clinical sense, the action is set fairly low, fretboard even and plays pretty fast and easy. Keep in mind when comparing this to a new one that, those sell for $799. retail and come with gig-bags not Gibson hard cases like in this auction. I've seen these cases listed new for $125 to $195 but it is included in this auction for free. In addition if you bought one new, it may not have the nice neck and great action set up that this one has. Thanks for looking, reading through and good luck!
