Gibson Les Paul Studio Satin Black Mahogany, 2009 with Gibson case. (note: serial number partially blacked out in photo only to limit fraud. I am the legal owner of this guitar) In almost new condition but has minor hairline pick-scratch swirls in the pickguard (can't even see in the photos, but I want to include so there are no surprises). I pick my guitars for neck/ action /tone/weight, This one not heavy at 9 lbs but not chambered like some of the super light ones. This is a 60's slim taper neck as Gibson lists on their website. No two are alike and I'd describe this one as a nice medium slim taper. It's very comfortable for my (medium large glove size) hand. Frets and guitar in new condition. Very rich full bodied Les Paul tone with the special Gibson satin finish keeping the tone true. It plays great, sounds great and I'm selling due to financial reasons. It rarely got used as I was planning to keep it as a collector. It's probably about as new as about anything that's been hanging in a guitar retailer store for a week. No scratches, dents or dings on the body. The Gibson hard shell case as well is in new condition. This is all stock with Gibson's 490R and 498T pickups (same used in older Les Paul Standards and Les Paul Customs) This is totally stock and the uncovered pickups are much clearer and brighter than the covered ones on other studio models. My cousin says that it plays like butter but I've never played butter before, so I can't relate to that but in a more clinical sense, the action is set fairly low, fretboard even and plays pretty fast and easy. Keep in mind when comparing this to a new one that, those sell for $799. retail and come with gig-bags not Gibson hard cases like in this auction. I've seen these cases listed new for $125 to $195 but it is included in this auction for free. In addition if you bought one new, it more than likely would not have the professional neck and action set up that this one has. Thanks for looking, reading through and good luck!
