Beautiful 1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar. Solid body, black lacquer, ebony fret board with mother-of-pearl inlay. The intonation was adjusted professionally, but this guitar is sensitive so you will need to lovingly tune it frequently.
The solid body is a much better sounding guitar than the newer Gibson models which have a cored body!
This is a professional grade guitar and has been played only by professional musicians. Meticulous care was taken with this instrument and it demonstrates minimal wear. There are a couple of very minor cosmetic dings to the body, but nothing that detracts from the instrument. I have proudly owned this instrument since 1990 and the only reason I am selling my instrument to be able to help out a family member who is in financial need.
Appraised at the end of July, 2010 by Steve Morrill Guitar Repair, an authorized Gibson appraiser, in Boston, MA at $1800. The guitar listed in very good condition rather than excellent condition because of the minor cosmetic issues. Appraisal included hard shell case. This case is a better quality case than the case that comes with the Gibson guitar.
Serial number imprinted on headstock. Sale includes professional fuzzy lined hard shell case with accessory compartment and a copy of the most recent appraisal.
Buy it Now price is $400 under the full value of the July appraisal.
Buyer pay shipping costs. Seller will purchase shipping insurance (listed in the handling costs) to cover any loss or damages during shipping for the full value of the instrument. Seller will package the guitar to minimize any chance of damage during freight. Please contact me immediately if you experience any freight damage.
Because guitars are fragile, I have decided to list this item for sale only within North America. I suggest you tune the instrument and replace strings because guitars are sensitive to climate changes that will occur in transit. I recommend that any maintenance or repair you provide to this Gibson guitar throughout your ownership be completed by a repair person who is licensed and authorized for Gibson repairs. This may be required if you insure the instrument as well.

Because of the odd shape of this instrument and its case, the shipping prices were calculated as a good faith best estimate. If the shipping costs are less than what the buyer paid, a refund will be issued by the seller to the buyer for the difference in U.S. funds. If the shipping costs come out to more than the seller estimated, the buyer will not be required to remit additional funds.
