Here is a very clean / extremely lite use (very few imperfections) 2008 Gibson LP Studio Black Gloss Chrome Hardware (come with new Gibson gig bag, box, some paperwork, and small tool).
SERIAL NUMBER: 092980378 - the serial number is very hard to see unless you closely look for it. I am not sure if the second number is a 9 or a 0 (so the serial number may be 002980378).
Made in the USA
With TWO modifications: 1) the Original Capacitors were professional changed to Bumble Bee Capacitors and 2) the pickup covers were professionally taken off (to make the pickups louder). From what I was told by a guitar tech in my area - the Bumble Bee Caps are not as loud as the origianal caps (having a warmer / vintage type of sound and having the pup covers balances the sound out / compensates for the capacitor change. Sorry I do not have the original capacitors -- nor do I have the pickup covers.
With the Exceptions of the Two Modifications - all original
In case you are wondering -- I am not the orginal owner. I purchased it a few weeks ago (lightly used - with the mods - just as it is now) for a customer - but the place that sold it to me did not inform me of the mods .. and my customer preferred a LP Studio that was stock . Instead of returning it to the store that I puchased it from I -- am lising it on EBAY because I thik that someone out there would dig this guitar. I handled it for about 30 minutes: to take the pictures, to inspect it, and to test it out.
Not much to comment on. The lower right side edge of the front of the headstock has a very smal surface chip (more like a nick) - where the arrow is pointing to.
The area under the lower left area of the bridge pickup mounting ring / above the left side of the saddles - there are a few line like scatches in the finish -- whr ethe arrow is pointing to. (These scratches are not surface scrathces - there are in the finish - but they are not extremy deep- but you can see and feel them.
NO Buck Rash . The back of the body is very clean.
The front of the body is also mostly clean - a few surface scratches.
Aside from the small chip that I mentioned on the heasdtock - there are not chips/ nicks on other areas of the guitar.
The electonics work fine. The hardware is clean.
The pickguardand back plate have very light surface scrathces.
Aside from the scratches that I mentioned below the left side of the bridge pup mounting ring / above the left side of the saddles -- the guitar does not have any very noticeable scratches.
The back of the neck has a few fingerprints - I am sure that I can wipe them off.
As mentioned above - the original chrome pickup covers were taken off. The pickups are Gibson pups (I think that they are the original ones that come with this guitar - but I am not 100% sure - since there is no information on the pups - (just the Gibson logos)
As mentioned above - I took a look in the control cavity and Bumble Bee Capicitors were professionally installed (the inside of the control cavity is clean). . I do not know if it is an upgrade or if it affects your decision.
The strings on the guitar are new - D'Addario (I believe they are gauge 10).
When I took the strings, stop bar, and bridge off (when looking at the pickups) - I noticed that there are a few small impresisons on the front of the body where the right post sits for the saddle / bridge piece and one curved imppresison where the left post sits for the saddle / bridge (since the dials are over there areas - the impressions are not that noticeble).
You can see a whitish glares on the guitar (mostly on the edges) from the camera;s flash and / or reflections. And you can see tiny white specks in some of the pictures (these specks are not noticeable in person).
Weight is about 7 pounds 10 ounces
NOTE: this model guitar - brand new with HS Case -- sells for $1,319.00 USD in most music stores in the USA.
Specifications can be seen at this link: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gibson-Les-Paul-Studio-Electric-Guitar-100010154-i1149139.gc
But remember: that I am selling this guitar with a gig bag / not a HS Case, and this guitar has some imperfections (but it mostly clean). And if like the Bumble Bee Capacitors in this model guitar -- then you save on getting them and having them installed. Also - to enchance the cap mod - the pup covers were taken off (pup covers NOT included). And I am pretty sure that the pups are the original ones - but I an not 100 % sure.
I took MANY pictures (about 30 pictures - but I was only able to add 12 pictures in the listing). Feel free to ask questions and for more pictures (email address please).
