1983 GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP EDITION LES PAUL STUDIO STANDARD, RARE!

This guitar has been around and it shows but it still plays and sounds amazing.  This rare model with bound body, dot inlays and silk screened logo was only  in production from 1984-86.  This one may be from a  a small batch pre-production run.  Fast, straight neck.  Some moderate fret wear but plays well all the way up the neck, probably still years away from a fret job.  Weighs 8.4 pounds, light for a Les Paul probably owing to the thinner body.   The pickguard and truss rod cover are missing.  Original tuners have been upgraded to Grovers.  There is a Seymour Duncan pickup in the neck position and a DiMarzio at the bridge...both sound awesome.  Some serious "belt buckle rash" (see photos).   While this guitar is far from pristine it has lots of character...a  guitar you can really jam on without having to worry about scratching.  An authentic relic, you won't find a better player than this!  A new Levy's CAXP7 gig bag is included (MSRP $79.95).
