So I am relisting this at a reduced price. I contacted my spirits in the netherworld and they told me to give you people a break. But seriously folks, bid on this thing. This isn't craigslist, you have class. Christmas is coming and you need to get something for that special someone in your life. Or maybe you want to punish someone, in which case you could really clobber them with a Les Paul, this thing is well built. Anyway around the boat, it's a good guitar. Hell, speaking of boat, in a pinch this thing could be used as an oar. So you have a lot of options, now hurry up and bid! Quit screwing around!
You are bidding on a 1996 Gibson Les Paul Studio in Wine red with chrome hardware. I have owned this guitar for about seven years. What can you say about a Les Paul that hasn't already been said! This guitar is a rock machine. Growling humbucking tones, legendary carved top, solid mahogany body, this guitar switched me over from Fender to Gibson, single coil to humbucker with no looking back.
I installed Grover chrome tuners in place of the Gibson tulip knob ones. I had a tuner or two that were inconsistent in holding tune, and I like the look of the chrome tuners better. Matches the rest of the hardware. The pickup selector was replaced when the original died. Otherwise, no other work beyond the occasional setup has been done. There is no excessive or irregular fret wear.
An Epiphone hard case is included in the sale. I consider it my decoy case. You come in to the gig with the Epi case, then you whip out the Gibson and show them you mean business. It has a few stickers on it, as seen in the photos and is just a little rough on the outside. But hey, it's a case, it's supposed to protect the instrument, not look pretty itself.
There are some small dings and scratches on this guitar. It is 15 years old and has seen some shows in it's time. I tried to show the main ones in the photos. The rectangular irregularity on the back is some sticker goo that should come off, I just do not have a product currently that I trust to remove the stuff without any possible damage to the finish. It is equipped with Dunlop strap locks, although I do not have the pieces you put on your strap. They are available at any decent music store or of course, online. She's a beauty who shows her miles in some ways, but feels good hanging on a strap and growls, barks and sings for days!
