This is a great chance to own an awesome looking Les Paul that is also a really cool collector's piece. If you missed them the short time they were in stores this is a great chance to grab one in like new condition and unplayed. The brief history is when Gibson workers returned to the factory in May of 2010 after the devastating Nashville flood they discovered all the giant paint cans had turned over in the receding waters and the paint was spilled and swirled on the floor. This inspired them to issue a limited run of 300 each in a Blue and Green swirl to commemorate moving on from the awful event. Each swirl on every guitar is unique and this one looks awesome with a heavy dose of greyish silver and there is a sparklish effect in parts of the clear lacquer on the back which I can not tell is a mistake or not. It was built to Les Paul Studio specs so it is familiar yet completely different. This is also the last year that Gibson was allowed to use rosewood fingerboards on their guitars so any limited runs from this year are bound to be collectible. I am a private collector and professional Luthier with over 15 years experience repairing and restoring modern and vintage instruments. I personally go over every guitar that I sell before they are carefully packed and shipped. Included are the original hardshell case and all case candy.
